Traditional Braces vs. Invisalign: Which Is Right for You?

At Ammons Dental by Design, we never provide one-size-fits-all care to our patients. Instead, we recognize that each of our patients have individualized treatment needs and goals, and we work with our patients to create a customized plan to help them achieve the oral health and smile they’ve always wanted.

One of the many examples of personalized care we provide are the different orthodontic treatments we offer. We know that a straighter smile can give our patients the confidence they need to succeed. Because everyone has different goals and a different starting place, offering both traditional metal braces and Invisalign® ensure that we can choose the right treatment for each patient. Let’s take a closer look at traditional metal braces and Invisalign!

Traditional Braces

These aren’t your father’s metal braces – advances in orthodontic technology mean that metal braces are smaller and more comfortable. They’re also incredibly versatile and can treat a variety of spacing or alignment issues that may be a little too complex for Invisalign® to handle. Our patients also appreciate the fact that they can personalize their band color!

Invisalign®

For our patients who want a more discreet way to straighten their teeth, Invisalign® invisible aligners are a great option. We use a series of customized aligners to gently straighten your teeth over time to give you the smile you’ve always wanted. Invisalign® is great for folks who don’t want to worry about showing bands and metal brackets. They’re also convenient – you can easily remove the aligners to eat or clean your teeth.

Before starting any orthodontic treatment, you’ll have a consultation with Dr. Ammons or one of our other qualified team members. We’ll listen to your goals and consider your starting point when determining which orthodontic solution is best for you.
